Film and television production plays a crucial global role in shaping cultural narratives, influencing public opinion and driving economic growth. It entertains, informs and connects audiences through diverse storytelling, while also boosting the economy through job creation, tourism and media distribution.
In Quebec, this industry is pivotal to both the cultural and economic landscape. Montreal and Quebec City serve as vibrant hubs, teeming with film festivals, production studios and creative talent. The province’s unique blend of French and English enriches its media offerings, positioning Quebec as a significant player in both Canadian and international markets. Its dynamic production environment ensures Quebec’s ongoing impact on the global media scene.
Marie-Pier pursued her passion for the video and audio industry by enrolling in the Film and TV Production program at Trebas Institute Quebec Inc., where her hard work earned her several awards. She went on to join Groupe TVA Inc. as a director and editor and later co-founded her own video production company.
Trebas Institute Quebec Inc. provided the hands-on experience I needed, with supportive instructors and modern equipment. The short, comprehensive program, which covered all essential skills, was perfect for me and allowed me to quickly enter the job market.
