In Quebec, film and television production is a cornerstone of the cultural and economic landscape. Montreal and Quebec City are vibrant hubs for the industry, hosting numerous film festivals, production studios and creative talent. The province's unique blend of French and English cultural influences enriches its media offerings, making it a key player in both Canadian and international markets. By fostering a robust production environment, Quebec maintains its position as a dynamic center for creative industries, contributing to the global media landscape with its distinctive and influential content.
Reina Shiotsu's transition from the advertising industry to filmmaking exemplifies the pursuit of passion and achieving significant success. Upon entering the field, she enrolled at Trebas Institute Quebec Inc., dedicating herself to refining her filmmaking skills and knowledge. Her efforts culminated in receiving two prestigious accolades for her film My Farewell Note - the Best Drama award at the Hollywood Gold Awards and a coveted nomination at the Tokyo International Cinema Awards. These achievements highlight her exceptional storytelling talent and acclaim on both domestic and international stages, solidifying her standing as a promising filmmaker in the industry.
Trebas Institute Quebec Inc. was a turning point in my life. I was able to learn everything I needed to know about filmmaking from scratch, from writing a script to directing a film. What I really appreciated in my experience was that our professors cared very much about each of us and taught us not only the necessary knowledge and skills, but also the excitement of filmmaking. Trebas Institute Quebec Inc. has laid the groundwork for me to dive into the world of filmmaking. I am deeply grateful to our professors, who believed in our award-winning film even more than I did and guided it to success at film festivals, as well as to all the crew and cast members who did amazing work.
